drawtoday:

Our atoms came from stardust. When we die perhaps our atoms will become new stars again, a million years or so from now. The form changes: human, tree, water, star. The atoms do not disappear.
In this sense, our bodies live forever.

Brian Swimme tells us that we are the conscious form of the stars, so that the stars may gaze at their own beauty.

This raw song based on my poem: Remember when you were a star? Also, maybe I should re-title the blog to SING TODAY NOT TOMORROW. :))

(I have to re-record the song to reflect how I changed the a few lines.)

“MADE OF STARDUST”

Do our bodies really die, disappearing?
They say it’s just the soul, that lives forever
Don’t you know the body lives forever too?
Don’t you know the body lives forever?
Atoms change, and rearrange, become another
And my body remembers, it remembers
Don’t you know your body lives forever too?
Don’t you know your body lives forever?
When I see the stars, I remember
When I hold your hand, I remember
Yes I tingle, and I ache, and I sing
And I dance, oh dance, dance, oh dance,
With my body made of stardust and wanderlust
With my body made of stardust and wanderlust
I remember, I am here, now, always
I remember, you are here, now, always
Now, always
Now, always
Now, always
Remember when you were a star?

Wondrous

Touch the tips of tender blooms
And sit spinning at silver looms
Spinning a story wondrous
Wondering the mysterious

Hands raised to sky
Eyes open wide
Hands raised to sky
Heart open wide

Touch the tips of tender wounds
And dream on days of solitude
Singing a song so wondrous
Wandering the silver woods

Hands raised to sky
Eyes open wide
Hands raised to sky
Heart open wide

You, hands raised to sky
You, eyes open wide
You, hands raised to sky
You, heart open wide

Warm Fuzzy Love Song

Lalala…
Lalala…

Soft as the sea
Warm as can be
You’re chocolate to me

Hug like a bear
Purr like a cat
Love love love you

I love you
I love you

Soft as the sea
Warm you and me
Strawberry kiss me

Breakfast with you
Desserts for two
Love love love you

You hug like a bear
I purr like a cat
Love love love you
I love you

She is SO adorable. ♥

In the spaces between the notes
you can hear the breath of her name
A song of mourning
A song of memory
A song of celebration
Fingers trail in arpeggios
up and down the keys
Playing in the spaces between the notes
with the breath of her name.

I’ve always loved the art work of Stephanie Pui-Mun Law

Another Rihanna song turned beautiful by a wonderful band.
Also adore their cover of How Deep Is Your Love

pornography:

“Blessed,” Up dharma Down

Opening track off their latest album, Bipolar. My favorite UdD song is already on here somewhere (“We Give In Sometimes”), but I still remember when I popped this album into my player for the first time and I was just so blown away by how powerful their music continues to be.

Definitely one of the best bands the Philippines has to offer.

pornography:

“Alter Ego,” The Vince Noir Project

Aless Tinio’s band post-The Dorques. I first heard of them when it was just her and Diego Mapa (Daddy Maps of Pedicab) and a lot of electronic beeps and bloops on MySpace, but eventually they turned into this.

She really has the most delicious speaking voice in Manila. I have this massive girlcrush on her.
